The wisdom and knowledge that comes from the void is usually disgusting for the unprepared, hard materialists and ignorant and can trigger aggressiveness, because it acts like a ray of light into a dark corner where their bastard lives.

Note: the definitions in this glossary are practical and up-to-date; they may differ from the interpretations and perspectives of school scholars (historians, religious experts, psychologists). The glossary is unsorted.

What is spiritual development?
Yoga, Buddhism or mysticism understand this as the methodical abbreviation of the natural path of development back to the origin of being - in contrast to the long, often painful (darwinian) path of experience. The first goal is that man free himself from the clutches of materialism and to understand his own destiny.

What is mind and what is consciousness?
Different terms for the transcendental component in man. The term "consciousness" is clearer, since spirit also means the mental or high-percentage, while in yoga "holy spirit" means cosmic energy. More on this in the chapter Definition of spiritual development. The mind is very subtle organ and acts like a mirror, all perceptions, all thoughts and all realities of the outer world are represented here.

What is the end point?
This is enlightenment, the attainment of cosmic consciousness and wisdom, the end of all science, liberation from the bondage of all phenomena of the universe and cessation of individual karma. Defined as the Buddha or Turiya state, Dharmakaya or Christo's state, meaning omnipotence, omniscience and omnipresence (space and time disappear).

What is enlightenment?
This is the reaching of the end point as previously described, but that is not all. The successful mystic undergoes a transformation during development of his gross and subtle body, which is initially full of tamas and therefore black, dark and ignorant. The gradual transformation into Satva causes an inner, intensely luminous brightness. The adept, under guidance, develops an impenetrable protection at the same time, otherwise he would be killed because of the light, which materialists cannot tolerate at all. And so the enlightened appears as a completely inconspicuous person.

How does spiritual development proceed?
It consists in noble morality, mastery of reflexivity, heightening of wakefulness and the supernatural intellect, discovery and mastery of the pranic circuit, development of analytical concentration, development of mystical faculties, spiritualization of the body and feelings, attainment of wisdom and that complete knowledge about yourself, about others and about the cosmos. You have to want spiritual development.

What is the ego?
The ego itself cannot be seen, but it is an externally observable reality firmly seated in man's day-to-day consciousness. An egoist places himself at the center of everything and also sets the standards accordingly, he thinks the world serves him alone. The ego as an uninterrupted process (except for deep sleep) manifests itself in the assessment of all sensory perceptions according to its own benefit or its own prey scheme, to which it reacts and aligns its entire actions accordingly. In addition to sensory perceptions, inner impulses determine actions, which unconsciously assert their driving power. All of these ego-related, inner processes are constantly changing and that is why the human being is somehow always different. People's self-esteem is defined by their possessions, their influence, their knowledge and their social position. A strong ego separates man from the other entities of creation and all the ugly effects we see day by day in the district, in the country and worldwide. The ego is psychologically and physiologically toxic and therefore also the reason for dying. The ego as a personality is the greatest obstacle to realizing one's Buddha-nature, the Atman, because it encloses the transcendent components like a steel ball. The opposite of an egoist is the altruist or a true bhakti. The mechanisms of the ego are explained in the chapters "Subconscious" and "Sense of touch, feelings".

What is spiritual egoism?
It is a mental defect and is present when one rejects the irrefutable and does not want to learn from the experience of others. When one does not recognize the walls of one's own consciousness and prefers to stay with the knowledge of the Scriptures. When your own traditional system is the ultima ratio and you block "foreign" things even though your own successes are lacking. When you can't stand critical questions or brush them off rudely. Getting rid of this well-hidden defect is not easy.

What is reflexivity?
It is a fundamental evil of human behavior because it destroys objectivity. Such behavior is caused by opinions and views from the "unconscious" realm that suddenly appear. In these moments man does not differ from animals. The reflexivity is primarily active when the person is not objectively focused, therefore he is also reflexive in the dream.

What is yoga?
Yoga is a spiritual development system that has a clear plan and at the end point the connection with the Absolute (God) is to be made. Yoga is not considered a religion, although all criteria are met. Shiva as the personified absolute presented the yoga to the people in the form of the Adiyogi, historically not traceable.

Is yoga a complex system?
Yes, it is a complex system and is divided into 8 main stages (levels): Yamas, Niyamas, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi. Everyone must attain the results of these stages if he wants to advance to the final goal. There are numerous yogas, no matter which one one follows, these stages must be mastered. Yoga has a clear plan. During the development to the endpoint, the student experiences numerous supernatural intellectual stages of consciousness. The first practical supernatural level is called genius. The same is achieved in other systems should they be genuine. The nirvikalpa samadhi or nirvana state is reached when the yogi's consciousness is no longer in the cosmos but the cosmos is in him. This is true yoga and it guarantees spiritual sanctity (diamond state). But even the first stage can lead to a life of joy without causes, since the very first goal is for man to free himself from the grip of materialism.

First level in Yoga, Buddhism and mysticism?
This is the observance and mastery of the yamas and niyamas. This leads to strength of character, to happy states and to the necessary inner loneliness.

What is FOGA (Fake Yoga)?
FOGA (abbreviation for false yoga or fake yoga) is the reduction of the yoga system to asanas, meditation and breathing techniques. This is and has never been the purpose of yoga, so true yoga becomes crippled. This is seen in the fact that the common man associates yoga only with asanas and meditation. The FOGA is a product newly created with materialistic intentions for the purpose of profit or making money. A variety of FOGA are the fakirs. In FOGA the spiritual values have been eliminated e.g. the noble moralization (yamas and niyams). The "clients" understand the yamas and niyamas as deprivation of liberty and stay away. Without these two they do not experience a transformation of their being for the better, their characters remain the same. What's more, the majority uses the newly won harmonization and uncovering of potentials to better experience and live out what has karmic effects. This also applies to the teachers and disseminators of FOGA. FOGA ensures that man remains a prisoner of the conditions of materialism. If FOGA is to be equated with true yoga, then materialism must also be made a world religion.

Who is right (eligible) for FOGA?
These are people who still have a strong thirst for life and value experience and being there more highly than a permanent solution to the problem of their limitations. They are only looking for an improvement in their current situation (physical or psycho-social). Once the problem is resolved, they drop from FOGA. Those who are karmically mature will be interested in real yoga and accept it.

What is Shiva?
Shiva symbolizes the absolute in Hinduism and is also regarded as the destroyer of worldliness in essence (clinging to material and subtle phenomena), hence the "god of ascetics". Buddha Gautamo is an aspect of him, as well as the Buddhas before him and those yet to come.

What is a Dakini?
These are fairies (archangels in Christianity) with special occult powers, they protect sacred places and the aspiring yogi. Its properties and powers purify, generate compassion, and support the flow of effort. They embody impartial justice as well as the opposite of selfishness, hopelessness, malice, pride, jealousy, lust and dullness.

What is integral yoga?
This is a) the effective combination of the methods of Yoga, Buddhism and mysticism or b) the combination of Raja, Karma, Jnana and Bhakti Yoga.

What is Buddhism?
Buddhism is a teaching or a spiritual development system that creates the connection with the Absolute (Buddha state, consciousness without content) at the end point. The historical Buddha Gautamo found and taught a new approach appropriate to the time period. The central approach is mindfulness (satipatthana) and benevolence (metta). As with yoga, meditation leads to analytical concentration, the prerequisite for higher jhanas, or levels of consciousness. Buddha's teaching is esoteric, he never taught or performed any ceremonies. Buddhism is classified as a religion. The first jhana already leads to a conflict-free life in joy.

What is Neo-Buddhism (NEBU)?
This is an exoteric practice. The Buddha's core method of mindfulness (satipatthana) and benevolence (metta) has been suppressed or forgotten, one orients oneself to dry statements and colorful ceremonies such as pujas, tsoks, invocations, empowerments etc. Buddha never taught or performed these! These activities were invented for monks and nuns to keep busy. Because they are visible, you can offer and sell them. In the absence of a lack of knowledge through successful goal achievement, one strictly adheres to rigid processes, scriptures and templates, which means that the valuable teachings of Buddha become a hollow torso. The belief that devotional items help spiritually is a misconception. See more at benefits and non-benefits of ceremonies.

Use or non-use (nonsense) of ceremonies?
This includes worship, invocations, empowerments, tsoks, pujas, etc. Basically, every invocation of external beings (subtle, invisible) causes the psychic energy of the performer to be released. This energy fills space and is fodder for subtle beings that only see and feed on it. Worship or invocation of distant tulkus or initiates who have not accepted you will also be intercepted. Knowing what was happening, the Buddha never taught or performed any ceremonies. Such events are an invention of the monastic communities to keep them busy, because almost all of them have no real urge for spiritual development and nobody wants to give up their precious personality. You can also see this in priests who don't take their own morals seriously. With the ceremonies, the worldly can be temporarily neutralized in the mind of the attendees, because the senses (and the ego) are deprived of the usual food. Gods, dakinis and other beings of the highest spheres have no interest in the human world. You see that everything is karmically just and therefore perfect. Only an individual aspirant is helped by the universal light which is also present in him and which he invokes. Man must therefore help himself - that is the truth and spiritual law. But who tells him?

What is dharma?
A Buddhist term, it encapsulates the noble truths, the recommendations (precepts), the methods to be used for spiritual development, the stream of effort to develop the Buddha-nature.

The 4 Fundamental Truths of the Buddha?
Suffering and problems arise from not attaining what is desired, from being connected to what is unloved, from being separated from what is loved, and from being attached to the things and values of this world. Suffering arises from the transience or from the unstoppable processes of change in the cosmos.

What is the 8-fold path of the Buddha?
Right View, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, Right Contemplation.

What are the 28 Precepts?
This is a list of each 10 things to follow or observe, the 10 virtues and the 10 joyful results. Expounded in “The Secret Doctrine of Tibet and the Path to Nirvana”. It is a refinement of the 8-fold path,

What are the 8 Stages of Yoga?
Yama and Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi. See also Yoga Aphorisms by Patanjali.

Difference between Yoga and Buddhism?
None, the objective is the same but the methods are different. Yoga starts with the body. Buddhism begins with introspection. Both systems are irrefutable.

Buddhism and Yoga a Science?
Yes, both are metaphysics. They expand knowledge far beyond the material continuum, early to recognize the true causes and control of the phenomenal processes.

What is Hinayana, Mahayana and Varjayana?
They are higher levels of spiritual development and paths to attaining salvation - the end of individual karma. More on that in the book. Everyone starts with Hinayana, even if they are reciting Mahayana mantras in foreign languages.

What is perfection or wisdom?
This is complete knowledge of yourself, of everyone else, and of the universe.

What are the 5 Great Mystical Abilities?
The all-pervading wisdom, the all-leveling wisdom, the mirror-like wisdom, the all-loving wisdom and the all-perfecting wisdom

I think therefore I am
Everyone knows this statement. But this I is a false I, it is the ego driven and generated by sense perceptions and atavisms - formed over many previous existences. In spiritual development, thinking is considered a disease that is difficult to "cure". The factual logical thinking is not ego-conditioned. Only behind thinking is the true ME hidden.

Why do germans greet each other with "Grüß Gott”?
Grüß Gott literally translated means “Hello God (in you)”. It is a greeting phrase in certain provinces. Since the "divine" spark is in every human being (see the chapter on definition of spiritual development) and this was seen as a shining point in human beings by Christian saints, they greeted others with the appropriate respect.

What is a real yoga teacher, guru or lama?
This is someone who has successfully completed the path of development, has wisdom and has returned to the world of people. He has detailed empirical knowledge about spiritual development paths, he can monitor the inner processes of the students and can induce states. A real guru doesn't do any marketing and works independently. All others are only heralds, interpreters or repeaters.

What is a Yoga Instructor?
This person has completed a yoga teacher training based on Hatha Yoga. The graduates have different levels, because they last from 2 weeks to 2 years full time. Quality (spiritual growth) does not have to be proven, just quantity (structured knowledge of yoga techniques such as asanas, mudras, breathing techniques and meditation) and their feasibility. Such a man does not know many things.

What is mysticism?
Mysticism is a spiritual development system like yoga and Buddhism. Mysticism deals with the transformation of the mystical elements in man.

Why do these systems work?
The human building type is the same everywhere, so the same spiritual laws always apply to him, no matter how you start or where you start or where you live. True spiritual teachers know this.

Yoga and Health:
Yoga requires a physically and mentally healthy person. This is what true yoga builds on. Establishing health and a strength of character is a prerequisite and not the only goal of yoga.

Yoga and modern man:
As already explained earlier or on the homepage, people in the modern world are looking for a repair of their mental disharmony and listlessness, or they are looking for more freshness to live out their senses and feelings better, combined with social embedding in courses and retreats. That is their understanding of yoga.

Why are there so many yogas?
The central yoga is Raja Yoga, all yogas flow into it. The different yogas are based on the various potentials in humans and on the development of the nadis. There are 112 main nadis and nadis nodes, 72000 in all. Numerous yogas have been reinvented and promoted as a product.

What is Hatha Yoga?
Hatha yoga is an ancient yoga system and is inextricably linked to Raja yoga. Hatha yoga requires conditions that no longer exist today. True hatha yoga masters are extinct.

Yoga only in India?
If you think that you can practice yoga or meditation better in the land of origin (India, Ceylon, Nepal or anywhere else), you are wrong. A change of location does not change the state of your being and your karma.

What is meditation?
Meditation is part of all mental systems and is not concentration. Meditation is primarily used for inner harmonization and calming of the mind. The problem is that any stupid person can meditate, so certain criteria and warnings must be observed. See the exact definition of meditation in the relevant chapter.

What is concentration?
Concentration is a means of acquiring liberating knowledge and of transforming one's being; it is an elementary component in further spiritual development. The cessation of the wanderings of thought is elementary. Here, too, certain criteria and warnings must be observed. See the exact definition of concentration in the relevant chapter.

Uniqueness of Buddhism:
There is only one true Buddhism and that is what Buddha Guatamo taught. There is no other, neither Tibetan, nor Japanese, nor South Indian, nor diamonds, nor anything else.

Uniqueness of Yoga:
While there are many preparatory yogas that address different potentials, there is only one Consummation yoga. Just as there is only one peak on a mountain, even if there are different paths to the top.

What is the basis of all life?
This is consciousness (sanskrit: purusha) and energy (sanskrit: prana) and not water combined with nucleid acid and decent temperatures which reflects the incomplete understanding of the whole cosmos.

What is intelligence or intellect?
This is the inherent observer's reflection of reality, dependent on its purity or immaculateness - known as mirror-like wisdom. See chapter "Human Structure".

What is religion
There is disagreement about a clear definition. However, religion should provide a philosophy and a framework of methods so that the connection to the Absolute (God) can be entered into.

What is bardo?
This is the intermediate state between death and rebirth that every soul must pass through when man dies, for the soul is immortal. Passing through the bardo is a descent path, the opposite of spiritual development. A lot happens in the Bardo - described in detail in the Bardo Thödol. Reincarnation was removed from the Bible in the 6th century.

Does god exist?
The answer to this question depends on the search criteria used. God has no form - no god has ever emerged from nature. God must be understood as a transcendent quality and power. See the chapter of the same name.
What is an asana?
Asanas are still (static) postures where more or less pressure is applied to pranic energy centers. There are 32 or 84 asanas. In addition, there are the karanas or vinyasas (breath-guided movement sequences). Meditation is practiced in Padmasana or Siddhasana, alternatively sitting in a chair with a straight back.

What are mudras and bandhas?
Mudras are finger or hand positions. Bandhas are muscle contractions. Anyone who has mastered pranayama can use mudras to direct inner energy flows, while bandhas are intended to hold and concentrate energies on a point (area).

What are asanas supposed to do?
Sitting asanas are intended to bring about motionlessness in meditation while at the same time being joyful, and extremes are to be eliminated (e.g. cold-warm, patient-impatient, apathetic-choleric, nervous-calm etc.). The immobility must lead to the elimination of the mental fragmentation. In hatha yoga, asanas are intended to uncover power potentials so that inner tension increases and karmic deposits are dissolved.

Dangers of asanas:
When energy is drawn from the joints or muscle mass through the squeezing action of the asanas, this leads to momentary refreshment, but karmic potentials are consumed in the process, which can lead to descent (impoverishment) in the hierarchy of beings. With special athletic achievements one remains only a fakir or circus artist.

What is prana?
Literally: primal energy. This is an energy that is everywhere and unlimited in the cosmos, it is not electromagnetic energy, although it is derived from prana. It is also in the air, only the observer (purusha) can see it, laboratory equipment fails.

What is the purpose of breath observation?
This is the mental immobilisation, the wandering thoughts should be calmed down or completely calmed down, an inner harmony should be established by straightening the pranic currents. The pure observation of the breath does not cause a pranic charge.

What is pranayama supposed to do?
The mystical goal of pranayama is firstly the locking of apana with prana, so that the yogi is no longer subject to the will of the world, permanent mental stability sets in. And secondly, an energetic charge should be brought about, which is noticeable as inner tension, which, however, requires a certain degree of awareness of the body. If this succeeds, the human being rises in the hierarchy of beings.

Dangers of pranayama:
Human characteristics are amplified- also the negative ones, so be careful!

Distinctiveness (discrimination):
It is the quintessence of spiritual development and science- the ultimate tool for analysis and looking thru and behind. Without them there is no knowledge in the subtle and transcendent realms. It presupposes the purification of the observer as well as the distance to the observed object (opposite of identification). Note: without ojas this power cannot be achieved.

What is ojas?
This is the sublimated sex power and the basis for the ability to concentrate. Without ojas one cannot see through the illusions of materialism (maya). Concentration is the analytical sword of observation and discernment.

What is asceticism?
This is not physical self-torture but the conscious renunciation (renunciation) of personality-related reactions to the stimuli of the sense organs. Asceticism is the most far-reaching and difficult norm and also affects the subtle.

What are atavisms?
They are power potentials in the subconscious and determine almost all decisions, they determine behavior and reflexes. The negative atavisms are the spiritual enemy of the yogi. The useful atavisms are retained, e.g. driving a car.

What is karma?
These are streams of energy that you have created yourself through obvious or subtle egoism. They revolve around people and thus form their individual cosmos. Coming from the past, these energies determine the course of fate in the present and in this man creates his new fate primarily through his thinking. Karma is in fact the supreme justice. The indivdual karmic forces underly the law of energy conservation of one persons system.

What is karmic maturity?  Karmic maturity is an inner mental state that a person has gained through countless good and bad experiences in living through many existences. He is, so to speak, "almost saturated". The greed for the new has given way to caution. Such a person has the best prerequisites for spiritual development, because with inner progress new desires do not jump up. Buddha Gautamo  or Vivekananda were a "karmic old men".

When is a person holy (a saint)?
Not when it happens to suit non-sacred hierarchs, but when a man has gained the upper hand over his lower nature, or technically: when the apana is interlocked with the prana. And this happens quietly and requires no gracious deed.

What is a thought
A thought is a subtle entity with energy potential, weight, spin, frequency, velocity, and unique ID to the creator. A thought is not divisible. Due to the lack of subtle laboratory equipment, the analytical ability to concentrate is required to determine these facts. Neurology or psychology, for example, see a thought as a neuronal representation in the brain that shows up as a pattern of activity - they see the thought more as a microbio-electromechanical result. If this is real, then man would be like a robot. More on this in the appendix.

What is Maro?
That is the cosmic negative, Satan in our case, Ravana in Hinduism and Maro in Buddhism. It manifests itself in the Asuras and especially in people with power and influence. If the overall karma of a people is bad, their mindset turns towards dictatorship, tyranny, corruption and injustice. His greatest weapon is the distortion of meaning (cynicism, spite, fake news) or stubbornness. Materialism is his kingdom - a powerful opponent, because he doesn't think. With a yogi, it enters the stage when the latter is about to unfold a mystical faculty.

The best way to hell?
The surest way to get there or into hellish states on earth is often through recurring negative emotions and states of mind. Aggression, anger, anger, ugly and divisive or sadistic speech, cynicism, physical and mental attack, enslavement, intransigence or stubbornness of mind, revengefulness etc. are the guarantor for it. This also includes maintaining depressive moods. The worst hell seems to be that one of the dogmatics.
